In order to help protect your investment in your camp experience, we can recommend a way for camp families to purchase tuition/travel protection. Camp tuition becomes non-refundable after certain deadlines, but this protection plan provides a variety of levels of coverage should you need to cancel your enrollment for a reason covered by the plan purchased. Below is one option for families in the USA, though there may be other products on the market worth considering. We will continue to research options for international families, and will add a link to an international plan when available.
In all cases, it is important to review all plans carefully as there are certain restrictions, exclusions and limitations that apply to all insurance coverages. Please note that Maine Teen Camp is not selling this plan, simply offering this plan as one potential option for families. 2024 Recommended Travel Protection Plan
A word about nonrefundable payments: Because travel/program payments are NOT refundable after certain deadlines, we recommend that all families consider purchasing a travel protection plan that includes trip cancellation coverage. We are pleased to offer the optional Activity Coverage Plan for our participants. This plan has been specifically designed to protect against many of the common risks that can arise for our participating families.
What does the Activity Coverage Plan cover? The Activity Coverage Plan offers a variety of benefits and coverages to protect participants before and during the program:

*Note: Cancel For Any Reason covers cancellation of a covered trip for any reason not otherwise covered by the policy, up to 75% (50% in Florida) of nonrefundable trip costs. You must purchase prior to final trip payment, insure your full trip cost, and cancel before 48 hours of scheduled departure. Not available to NY residents.
The Pre-Existing Medical Condition exclusion is waived if the full cost of all nonrefundable payments are insured and the plan is purchased prior to final trip payment.
